This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider is a beautifully restored example of Pininfarina’s timeless design and Alfa Romeo’s sporting heritage. Chassis 09014 spent its early years in Chicago, Illinois, where it received bodywork and a replacement four-speed manual transmission in the 1970s. In the 1990s, the car underwent a comprehensive rotisserie refurbishment in Lincoln, Nebraska, which included additional body repairs and a full repaint in black.

Acquired by the current owner in 2013, this Tipo 101.03 Spider is now offered with extensive service records dating back to 1976, restoration photos, a car cover, and a clean California title.

Exterior:

The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in a deep black repaint completed during the 1995–1998 rotisserie restoration. The exterior features the classic tripartite Alfa Romeo grille, subtle rear fins, chrome trim, and a replacement black convertible soft top.

The hood, fenders, and bumpers were replaced in 1976 prior to the restoration. The seller notes a small ding on the right-rear fender and minor paint imperfections consistent with age and use.

This Spider rides on a mixed set of 15″ steel wheels—Fergat-style on the left and Borrani-style on the right—each with Alfa Romeo–branded hubcaps and 155-series Michelin tires. Koni shocks are fitted at all four corners, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

Interior:

The interior presents beautifully in white vinyl with red piping, complemented by matching door panels and red carpets. Period features include a Veglia gauge cluster, IPRA heater, AM/FM radio, and under-dash speakers. Lap belts and crank windows round out the cabin equipment.

The driver’s seat foam shows some deterioration, but overall the interior remains clean and well-preserved. A Fergat-style spare wheel with an older Michelin tire is stored behind the seats.

The classic Veglia instruments include:

7,000-rpm tachometer with inset oil-pressure gauge

120-mph speedometer

Combination auxiliary gauge cluster
The five-digit odometer shows 68,000 miles.

Engine & Mechanical:

Power comes from a 1,290cc twin-cam inline-four paired with a replacement four-speed manual transmission installed in June 1978. A Facet electric fuel pump, Solex C35 APAI G carburetor, and IMASAF exhaust system complete the mechanical setup. The pressure plate was replaced at the same time as the transmission.

Koni shocks and drum brakes on all four corners provide a classic yet confidence-inspiring driving experience.
